“Refund” Calculator
Methodology – The telephone survey was conducted between January 13 and June 12, 2008. Thirty-eight current and former NGP clients were asked the question stated. The information in the calculator reflects total amounts shown by FEC records through January 3, 2009, as having been paid by the listed campaign to NGP. Rights, if any, concerning possible refunds or discounts depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. The amounts shown are for information purpose only, and do not reflect or imply any legal opinion or advice concerning any individual case.
View PAC Contributions to Republicans (Total Contributions to GOP Reported as of January 3, 2009)
The amounts reflected are contingent upon, and assume, proof of Aristotle’s allegation concerning the existence of a deal between NGP and a software reseller, which allegation has not been proven at trial. NGP has however, admitted the “reseller agreement” (which it wants to keep secret), on pages 2-3 of the publicly filed memorandum supporting its motion to depose the reporter who is seeking access to the agreement and other sealed documents in the case. NGP also admitted to a “reseller relationship”, and “business relationship” under which another company puts on its own “private label” because it “didn’t want to call it NGP software”, at pages 30-32 of the public transcript of the summary judgment hearing before Thomas Hogan, U.S District Judge, in D.C. CA # 05-1700. See Aristotle vs. NGP, CA 05-1700 (D.C. District Court).
Methodology – Subject to the above disclaimer, the numbers reflected in the Total Contributions to GOP Reported as of January 3, 2009, were compiled as follows:
Where FEC records show that a political organization began using such allegedly NGP-made PAC software offered through the alleged reseller during either the 2004-06 or 2006-08 federal election cycles, the total contributions by that organization to GOP candidates and national political party committees for the 2004-06 and 2006-08 federal election cycles, as reported to the FEC through January 3, 2009, were included in the total shown. These totals are based on summaries of FEC reports provided by the Federal Election Commission, available to the public at www.fec.gov.
Contributions to Democrats not included. Not all PACs listed gave more to GOP in 2004-06 and/or 2006-08.
GOP Campaigns Receiving Money (GOP Campaigns Receiving Money From Users of NGP’s Software).
The list of campaigns reflected is contingent upon, and assumes, proof of Aristotle’s allegation concerning the existence of a deal between NGP and a software reseller, which allegation has not been proven at trial. NGP has however, admitted the “reseller agreement” (which it wants to keep secret), on pages 2-3 of the publicly filed memorandum supporting its motion to depose the reporter who is seeking access to the agreement and other sealed documents in the case. Methodology – Subject to the above disclaimer, the numbers reflected in GOP Campaigns Receiving Money From Users of NGP’s Software were compiled as follows:
For all of the organizations identified under View PAC Contributions to Republicans (Total Contributions to GOP Reported as of January 3rd, 2009), their contributions to Republican candidates during the 2004-06 or 2006-08 federal election cycles, as reported to the FEC through January 3, 2009, were reviewed. A partial list of the many Republican candidates receiving money from these groups in that time frame is set forth under GOP Campaigns Receiving Money (GOP Campaigns Receiving Money From Users of NGP’s Software).
Democratic candidates receiving contributions from any of these organizations not included.
